DNA profiling for paternal lineage testing

Especially in cases with male children and a paternal grandfather or the father’s brother who are available for testing in place of the missing father, we analyze multiple (>10) STS markers of the Y chromosome (Y-haplotype) and thus identify completely the ancestral paternal inheritance (and therefore the fatherhood), since the Y chromosome is always inherited from father to son and so on.

For this test we use 11 to 14 internationally accepted and validated Y chromosome STS markers in order to reach the highest possible probability (likelihood ratio). For the statistical calculation and evaluation of the frequency of Y chromosome haplotypes we use specific software and databases, ensuring an outstanding reliability for our results.
